LEADING RUSSIAN FITNESS ORGANISATION TO HOLD NATIONAL EVENT AT HEALTH & FITNESS CLUB MANAGEMENT TRADE FAIR

Russian Aerobics Federation's "Russian Cup" Preliminaries Will Select the Federation's Best Teams to Participate in Australian World Championship in '04

(Stamford, CT & Moscow, Russian Federation - 02 October 2003) – International Exhibition Group (IEG), the Russian Aerobics Federation (RAF) and ExpoRSPP today jointly announced that the 2003 "Russian Open Cup in Fitness-Aerobics", the national fitness event in Russia, will be held along with "Health & Fitness Club Management Trade Fair" in Moscow 02-05 December 2003. The Russian Cup is the most important aerobics competition in the Federation and is the national preliminary for the FISAF World Championship coming up in Adelaide, Australia in May of 2004.

In making the announcement, Larissa Sidneva, President of RAF stated "We are very excited and pleased to hold our international competition in cooperation with Health & Fitness Club Management. As the only professional trade fair of its type in Russia, it is an outstanding stage to showcase some of the world's greatest aerobics teams to health & fitness club executives". Over 500 athletes will be participating in the Cup including teams from Germany, France, Belgium and many countries in Eastern Europe. The winning Russian teams will represent that country in Australia next year.

Health & Fitness Club Management was created to satisfy the demand of the surging fitness industry in Russia for the latest in equipment to modernize & expand existing facilities. Russian President Vladimir Putin, himself a certified martial arts expert, has publicly stated the need for the Russian people to adopt a more active lifestyle and to improve their health through exercise. According to Lenny Pollak, Chairman & CEO of IEG, "Worldwide interest in health & fitness has finally caught on in Russia, and suppliers of fitness equipment, services & apparel are finding in Russia one of the most lucrative emerging markets in the world today". 5,000 buyers are expected to attend.
