INTERNET SECURITY TRADE FAIR TO OPEN IN SAINT PETERSBURG, RUSSIA

Event will be the first of its kind to address the Government's initiative to secure electronic data and information throughout the Federation

(Stamford, CT - 15 May, 2003) – International Exhibition Group (IEG) www.iegexpo.com today announced the launch of the InterNetSecurity Trade Fair in Russia. This event will be the first of its kind to address secure information access issues and data security concerns in the booming Russian internet market. Over 5,000 IT executives and developers looking to buy data protection products, systems and technologies are expected to attend.

The InterNetSecurity Trade Fair will take place in the second largest Russian city Ð Saint Petersburg on 15-18 March 2004. This international event will feature the latest in software, hardware and systems that specifically address information security issues concerning internet / data access, fire walls, data protection, disaster recovery, viruses, VPN's, E-mail/website protection and more.

Fitness According to the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service, "Russia is fully aware that Internet security has become one of the most pressing problems facing www-users in this decade. The spread of information technologies here has brought with it such problems as computer crime, unauthorized access to the communication and information systems, illegal use of various secret data, either government or private." The Russian government, placing high importance on the increase of internet penetration and improvement in IT security performance, including a wide range of various protection tools, recently issued the "National Doctrine on Information Security" signed by President Putin.
